Join our TEAM! If you are looking for a job that involves working with children in a fun indoor/outdoor setting, then Earnest & Edna Shepherd Youth Center is the place for you. Our eleven week summer camp program is filled with plot twists and turns, team play, laughter and fun memories. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, responsible, quick thinking, and caring individuals for all positions.
2024 Camp Counselor
Our camp counselors plan, lead and implement camp programs for youth by being an integral part of the daily camp plot. Counselors assist to develop the plot, act as characters, sing, and actively engage the campers in activities. Counselors supervise campers (5 to 13 years old) while engaged in all activities to ensure safety, development, growth and overall wellbeing. 2024 Lifeguard
Camp lifeguards help plan and supervise a safe pool environment for the campers. Lifeguards must be certified, or willing to attain certification before camp season, including in-pool training such as Red Cross or equivalent. Lifeguards are responsible for testing the pool, vacuuming based upon need, and caring for and storing pool equipment at the end of a session. Reimbursement for lifeguard training may be available.
